As of today, I have 376,000+ views on this Youtube video. My
channel has over 1,000,000 views total, and I’m proud to be able to create fun videos for people to learn how to do or to make things, like this secret compartment video.
Thanks for viewing!
I try and remind myself that I got into art and making things because it is, at its root, a fun pastime for me.
In the past, I’ve endeavored to try and always make money from it, and I learned over time that that is not the path I was destined to go.
When I began to take it less seriously and less business-like, I regained the ease and sense of peace with my work.
If I ever end up making art as a living, it will be by accident– or magic. I’m not going to make it a business, though. It needs to be organic and spontaneous, or I’m out.
Whichever comes first.
I enjoy drawing and painting, and I have always enjoyed painting animal portraits.
I was playing around with doing some Asian traditional ink brush painting styles a few years back, and I painted this Panda on my computer using a Wacom Bamboo pen tablet and Adobe Illustrator.
You can make your own t-shirts, too. Just click on one of the links on the far right of my blog.
This is a pretty cool video on how to do the Japanese ink wash brush style painting (Sumi-e) using Coca Cola!
I think this kind of creativity just “pops” off the paper!
